Question You have $10,000 or less?¿

Howdy All,
We have had at least three threads about big bucks and what you would buy. Now you have $10,000, what would you buy?¿ Some guidelines; That is the full price. The vehicle has to be a runner. That is the value of the vehicle at current prices. It can be either a daily driver or your toy.
My daily driver would be a Nash Metro. My toy would be a 404 Mog (ain't that a suprise)

I think I would get a late 1970's 450SL or an early 1970 350SL. Maybe even a hi miler 1980's 380SL (double row timing chain done) or any R107 that I could afford.

However, if I could fix my car instead I'd just do that.

So Frank how are you going to get the money to me,and can I have it in sterling Seriously though $10,000 is approximately £6,860 for any Brits who want to contribute.
For that money I'd still go for a 560 sec as a daily driver,or perhaps a 123 280ce.Alternatively as a plaything perhaps a G-wagen.
If 'er indoors found I had that much dosh spare I wouldn't be getting another car,no she'd find a much better?use for it!! Bear

560SEC, 300TE, 300CE, or 300E.

Any of them should be obatainable for that price in decent condition.

It would have to be a toy - for me that would be a Mini Cooper, the original, not the BMW version. At that price range it would be in good running condition and might be almost fully restored. These cars can be daily drivers too, depending on how long a drive it is...

Miata?! That's a glorified go-kart!

There's plenty of great older Benz models to be had for under 10 grand. With that amount, I'd probably look for a nice early/mid 70s 450 SE/SEL. Maybe a 6.9, but it might be hard to find a really nice one at that price. I'm a 116 guy 'till the end!

108 with a 4.5

108 with a 4.5 and use the leftover to tighten and brighten the car.
