Meteor
 

I woke up about 4am this morning for my bathroom run. I was just getting back to bed when the room was lit with a very bright light. I caught a glimpse through the skylight of a brilliant white streak arcing across the sky, ending with an astonishing incandescent flash. I figured it wasn't the big one, but just in case, I took another bathroom break. You don't want to go out of the the world without an empty bladder. That's common courtesy.

I missed it ~ my tin foil hat covers my eyes when I sleep.....

I saw something similar one night on the road. It was astonishing. A huge streak seemingly very low to the ground but there was never a flash at the end that I saw at least.

I've seen a handful in my life but never any that could be described as quite this spectacular. Very cool.
