Espresso geekery

Any home espresso aficionados here?

I picked up a used Expobar heat exchanger espresso machine on Craig’s List. Also have 2 grinders - Macap M4 (for espresso) and GAGGIA MDF (for pour over).
The gear can be very pricey but if you set up a search on CL and can wait, there are bargains.

I love the smell of fresh ground coffee. Love coffee ice cream, cake and chocolate. Won't touch the stuff in a cup. Just does not do anything for me.

The coffees machine looks pretty though.

The extent of my geekery is a starbucks 2 T measuring spoon, & boiling the water before pouring it into my drip machine. Oh, and I grind the beans whilst waiting for the water to boil.

Talking I Lie Coffee, I Like Tea ~

...I like the Java Jive and it likes me .

I know bupkis about coffee but I've been drinking it since I was 11 or 12 and seriously enjoy a good cuppa .

The bitter crap most Americans think is good coffee I can't stomach .

In the late 1960's a guy came back from a Middle Eastern Tour and offered me some Arabian coffee, it was amazing, I love it, drank it black, a thing I rarely do .

We grind ours fresh and brew in a french press. I am more into coffee than espresso but love a good cup of either.

Talking Java Jive

I'm beyond redemption ~ I like 7-11 coffee and the iced Farmer Brothers coffee at my favorite diner .

I love a good cup of coffee. I have trouble now with reflux so have switched to expresso which has less acid and put milk in it. We have a kuerig now which is expensive but gives a freshly brewed cup each time.

It'd be nice to drive the 427 Cobra replica to get a cup of good coffee. Probably wouldn't stop at the coffee place though.

I've been thinking of adding a coffee cup holder....in aluminum of course.

Try cold brew if you like cold coffee. Cold brewing gets the flavor minus the oils that trigger reflux (and rumble guts) in a lot of folks.

Start out your day by eating fruit and vegetables. A big slab from a fresh pineapple and a bag of microwave in the bag vegetables for breakfast will likely change your life for the better. You can probably even go back to drinking coffee but you're better off without it. Quit the flour and anything made with it. You can do without dairy too.

I still drink way too much coffee but feel better when I don't.

Look at what you have to eat to get your electrolytes, fiber and B vitamins. It's a lot of food. Eat that first, every day.
