What do you want for Christmas?

Santa just said that he will put three of your favorite motor vehicles under your tree this year, and you can pick. What are your selections? Here are mine:

1. 1967 Lincoln Continental convertible, black with red interior

2. 2020 Mercedes-Benz S63 sedan, black with tuxedo interior

3. 2020 Ford Raptor crewcab, white with black interior (no exterior graphics, please).

1. 1968 Mercedes W111 Universal fintail wagon with sunroof, OM617 turbo diesel engine, third row seat. Brown and tan two-tone paint and interior.

2. 1957 Imperial Crown Southampton four door sedan with Cummins diesel engine. Single headlights, pink paint.

3. 1949 Nash Airflyte four door sedan with some kind of diesel conversion and brake and other safety upgrades. Brown and tan two-tone paint and interior.

Or... maybe something funky like a 1939 Graham Supercharged Sharknose sedan.

Or a Tucker.

I would like a 30,000 mile, 06 E320 CDI or 30,000 mile '99 E300.

Realistically though I just bought myself a Milwaukee 3/8" battery powered ratchet. I used it extensively this past weekend and like it so much I should have purchased it a year ago.

I’ve owned most of my dream cars. But the ones that I missed were a Studebaker Avanti, MGA coupe, and a Corvair Monza.

We had a new 1976 Avanti II in our family. Silver with Magnum 500 wheels, 400 Chevy small block, and Blaupunkt Berlin radio. It was $16,500, which was Mercedes SL money for the day. These were bespoke cars at the time, with a relative traveling to the factory, reviewing wood veneers, upholstery and carpet swatches...

I have had one about five years. Handier than a pocket on a shirt with no hose to find a place for. The work light that came with it is a really handy item also.

Well since there’s no price limit on this wish list, number one would be one of the original streetable GT40’s. Number two would be one of the retro Ford GT’s. Number three might be a Lotus Evora.

With some thought I might change that list. Do I have until Christmas for an edition?

Just to make it easy on Santa I’ll offer to pay the license fees.

Thumbs up Special X-Mass Gift

All I want for Christmas is :

My two front teeth (sorry, couldn't resist) .

I don't actually want anything, maybe less pain so I could get some sleep .

Yeah, being in pain to a point of insomnia certainly sounds like a priority changing situation. Best of luck with that situation.

Some wishes are achievable. As a group we can get any odometers turned back for you. We have the technology.

If nothing else the Christmas spirit still survives. Or it is my proposed reason to get the wife to cut back a little on Christmas spending. Not that it will work. .

Actually I still retain the Christmas spirit. Fortunately we will have a very young girl around this season that still is a believer in Santa Claus.

In reality if I and perhaps others. Were really given the choice of even just two unlimited wishes. Trying to decide what to choose would probably get us on meds.

Thanx .

I mostly did it to myself so I'm stuck with it .

In truth I have too much crap now and need to get rid of it all .

No point is keeping stuff I n longer enjoy using .

I do try to keep the Christmas spirit alive in our Foster boys ~ they come to use from bad places, none believe in Santa but the spirit is there and I try hard to help them have happier holidays .

We're supposed to get a tree to - morrow and I always let the boys decorate it with no direction ~ they're always scared the first time or two but really get into it eventually .

I asked the Mrs. for a ride with Mario in the two seat Indy car. I don't expect to get it.
