When top gear was romping around in the middle east in one of those a few years ago I believe they were averaging low single digits for fuel usage.... It has twin fuel tanks, something like 42 gallons of fuel on board.....good for about 120-150 miles....when driving it hard. There's aircraft that achieve better mpg than that.....

Now if they installed a tuned OM629 in there.....that would improve the situation significantly.

With a running auto trans car on the tow dolly behind my Honda Ridgeline I can get six wheel drive. When the ground is wet and I need to get a running RWD MB into the barn, rather than just trying to drive it in (if already on the tow dolly) I will take advantage of the 6-wheel drive option I have. :-)

You can find G-wagons with just about any engine. My top choices would be OM606 or M112/M113.

That silly thing would have to be stupid cheap before I would embarrass myself by it being seen in my driveway.

A nice G Wagen? Sure. That thing? Thank you, no.

It probably has some practical uses, but not at that price.
