Exclamation Pedestrains

I grew up Down East and a long time ago so I learned that laws don't help the stupids .

Average Human : 180#

Average vehicle : 3,000#

Do the math then PAY ATTENTION DAMMIT ! .

I don't want to hit / hurt anyone not ever but f'chrissakes .

I'm one of those oddballs who stops to allow folks to cross the street, that's the right thing to do .

Stepping off a curb without looking first is like playing Russian roulette .

We have powerful cars, when you pass a truck, put your foot down and minimize the time next to one. Make sure you can always see his mirrors.

F=M*A, and trucks have one hell of a lot of M.
I will say probably 99% of Semi-Trucks , behave themselves. I try and give them room. Also, if they want in the left lane to pass a slower vehicle, I'll usually slow down.
It used to be Dodge Dakotas and Chevy SS, that would drive in front of usually Semis, then exit from the left lane. Yes, I mean to take an exit all the way from the left lane. Usually, if not always, there is plenty of room to the rear. I've had this happen to me in my Jeep Cherokees more than a few times. Once in my Contour SVT, they guy cut across at least 3 lanes, to get to the split off lane. I'd say he did it in less than 100 ft.
Another time, I had some woman trying to side swipe me to slow down, so she could make the exit. I eased over about 1/2 a lane. Next time, I just looked down at her, or more like her boyfriend. Plenty of room front and rear.

The lugnut rule:
The object with the most lugnuts wins every time.

example) Mack truck with trailer - 5 axles times 40 lugnuts = 200 lugnuts
My 335 - 2 axles times 10 lugnuts = 20 lugnuts
Since 200 is more than 20, the Mack truck wins every encounter.

Good one.

There is a long downhill into a valley followed by a long uphill on a highway I sometimes use.

When I crest the hill going down, I move over to the left lane to let the trucks run. As they lose energy on the upside, I often put the hammer down and just walk away from them. I know they watch me and say ‘dayum’. There is no room for cops to hide on that long, uphill stretch.

Channel 19 on your CB radio for on-the-go trucker updates. If you want to know where the best strip clubs are, where the best truck stops are and where the cops are, etc. nothing beats Channel 19!
