Is it a GENUINE Samsung battery that's actually new stock? Or is it a "new old stock"? Or is it a "genuine" Samsung battery that's actually a crappy Chinese clone with 1/50 of the original capacity?
If one of the latter two, expect the capacity to be the same or worse than the battery you're replacing. "new old stock" batteries will have aged similarly to a well used battery. Chinese clones usually have less than half the original capacity on a good day and rapidly degrade in a matter of hours, days, or weeks. |

Also make sure apps you dont use are not running in the background. Including GPS, Wifi if not used.

THANK YOU .
I have no idea if this is an old stock battery or a copy of the real thing, I have no apps and no WiFi even though I pay for it . I know many (,y Sweet for one) who always leave multiple windows open, I never do this for life of charge reasons . This is a fairly recent cell 'phone as I broke my old one last year . It's been fine until recently . I unboxed the new battery and popped it in, the thing seemed to work O.K. but only showed 55% charge so I charged it up and ever since it's been wonky . I just switched to Consumer Cellular because of the AARP discount (less than half of what AT&T used to charge) but I can't send nor receive images and some times even the plain texts choke and won't go through . Any other ideas ? . TIA,

I saw an article recently about the new 5G cell bands using more power for transmit and receive. If this is a very new phone with 5G enabled there might be something like going on. There is probably a setting on the phone to turn 5G on/off if it is using it.
