Why? If you have no plans to stay at that location more than four years you should rent. If you did borrow in 06 or 07 and didn't run, you should have done very well, and still climbing.

Exclamation CRASHED

The news says it crashed .

Every time the stock market crashes I try to buy more as I'm fleshing out inheritance for my grand children .

I simply don't trust this particular investment vehicle, remember beenie babies ? .

A very few got wealthy, most wound up with worthless poorly made toys .

Well it is still up more than 300% over the last 12 months so i wouldn't call it a crash. But as I said earlier, it's trading at or near all time highs so you really need to evaluate how much more upside you think is left. Personally I stopped buying when it was around $5K and even then it was just gamble with a small amount. Highly speculative, treat it more like a casino, not an investment.

On May 22, 2010, programmer Laszlo Hanyecz paid 10,000 bitcoins for two pizzas. At the time, it cost about $15. Today? About $350 million.

To celebrate how far Bitcoin has come — and commemorate history’s most expensive pizzas — let’s take a look at 4 things 10,000 BTC could buy in 2021.

28 million large cheese pizzas
165,000 moped scooters (for local delivery)
3 commercial airplanes (for coast-to-coast delivery)
14 billion after-dinner mints

If that’s how much Bitcoin has changed since 2010, just think how different things could look in the next 11 years1. Hopefully pizza still tastes the same.

If only we all had perfect timing in our investments, we'd all be rich!

Also, an interesting analysis by Goldman:

You might want to use current information. But then again whats being off by around a 50% difference amongst friends.

not sure what you are referring to.

If you look at your link, it reports +308% in the last 52 week period, otherwise known as the last 12 months.

If you are referring to the Goldman analysis, it was for a point in time (they published it late April of this year). The interesting part is the Sharpe ratio because it adjusts for risk. Anyway, it's highly unlikely Goldman's made a math error and even more unlikey that you caught it!

In any case, crypto and possibly investing in financial products does not seem like something you are interested in or even have a basic understanding of how it works. Have fun, use google and a calculator.

In regards to the chart, do you know what YTD stands for, i'll give you a clue it is not the last 52 weeks? In regards to using current data were in the last third of May when you used a link from April.

Ive come to the conclusion that you are either trolling or are simply unable to understand the basics. Hopefully you are trolling otherwise you’ve really exposed yourself. Prices change, that is the very basis of a market. Research is published and is accurate at the time of publication.

I’ll leave you with this, which you may or may not understand.

It is trolling, but mostly just himself. I am not sure of the endgame of putting himself in a corner and crafting his own dunce hat for all to see. I encourage fools to expose themselves, so we are still going.
