synthetic oil in a 92k mile bimmer, yay or nay

We own a 97 528i with 92 k miles on it. Woudl making the switch to synthetic oil now be beneficial? if so, how long can you go on sythentic oil before it needing to be changed? the car leaks nothing, burns nothing right now so we dont want any leaks or for it to burn any oil. Thanks
Ryan

IMHO, stay with Dino, change it hot and often. No scientific basis for my opinion.
