Hello,
The Central Ohio section of the MBCA is hosting an All-German car
show. You can display your car as "display only" for free or enter in the "clean car" and "best of show" contests for $5.

We have contacted representatives of clubs for BMW, Porsche, Audi, VW, and Karmann-Giha. We don't know what kind of turn out we'll have yet on this short notice, but we're hosting the show and we'll see who turns out to show their cars! It's going to be in Dublin, Ohio (http://www.dublin.oh.us/) at the Wyndham Hotel (http://www.wyndham.com/Dublin/default.cfm) on Sunday, August 4. Cars can come as early as 10:00 or so and we'll let the public through and start judging at 12:00 noon. There will be great exposure for the cars and their clubs because that weekend is the Dublin Irish Festival and the hotel is packed. (See Dublin web site calendar)

NOTE: For w113 owners, watch for an announcement for an independant w113 tech session Saturday, August 3 in Columbus as well. You can make a weekend of it!

Hmmm... my w126 is pretty good looking, but nothing special. I would love to come to the show but I am here in Europe until the 15th of August.

You don't need a "show car" to enter. Just park your car for free as a "Display Only" car and chat with everyone for a few hours. There should be pleanty of people to meet and cars to talk about.

One of our special MBCA members in Columbus, Ohio is going to host a W113 tech session at his garage on Saturday, August 3rd from 9:00am until we lose interest. This will be very informal, come-and-go as you please, attendees will help dictate the agenda, very hands-on. Bring your garage clothes and get dirty. There will be engines, transmissions, fuel injection pumps, and more for us to wrench on! If you are interested, please send me a Private Message on this board an I'll give you all the details.

The following day, the local MBCA section is hosting an All German car show. Make a weekend of it!!

Id be interested in bringing my 1983 300D up to the show and hang out a while. Im in Reynoldsburg (Blacklick). You say its free to bring my car for show, then i can walk around and look at others cars and such.

Count me in, I may or may not bring my ML. I look forward to getting some good tips on cars. I am relatively new to this passion and look forward to someday buying an older SL to "baby" and have fun with and want to learn all I can.
