How does renting work out? If you have the time to use it a lot of course it is not good.

Post Rented Motor Homes & Campers

It depends mostly on how lazy the rental places cleaning crews are....

Renting is god awful expensive. Cost per day is high and typical milage allotment is low (100+/- miles), extra to use the generator. It can add to a while lot of cash for a shirt trip.

roger that. There are so many GREAT travel shows on television (both cable and OTH) nowadays.

Seeing the Matterhorn on TV is not the same as seeing it in real life.

RV Rental is a very good way to try out a couple for different models. We tried out a small C and A Class as rentals and found the A class suited our usage best. Lots cheaper than buying and finding later there are things you just do not like about the rig. RVShare.com has individuals that rent out their vehicles so there is a wide selection of types and price ranges.

At least I don't have to put up with TSA strip searches......or items stolen from my baggage either going or coming. It is hard to believe that the airlines have sunk to such lows.......

O.K. husky man : please tell us about any actual TSA strip search you know of .

I don't like them either, they insisted I leave my passport in my grip and then of course it was stolen...

In hundreds of flights I have never lost anything out of my bags, never been strip searched. What's more I do not know a single person to which that has happened to. Between all the people I know, I am talking about thousands of flights.

Does it happen. Sure. Dose it happen often....not even close. People are more likely to win the lottery than have this happen. You on the other hand, you beg for crap to happen to you and the world grants your wish on a regular basis.

Not hard to believe you make stuff up regarding things you have absolutely no knowledge of.

you do now. my family traveling on TWA to Hawaii connecting in St. Louis, Missouri in 1998. Around $900 in jewelry stolen from luggage by baggage handlers. Bags came up on the turnstill with locks BROKEN. We knew right then and there we had been victimized. TWA offered $150. A few years later, a crew of St. Louis baggage handlers were arrested for baggage theft.

Yeah yeah......for every bad thing that can happen to a person...you just happen to know someone who has had it happen to them. It's like you have an unlimited number of acquaintances. Freaking amazing. So pardon me if I don't believe this story either.

By the way, your family would have to be complete dumb asses to put jewelry in a checked bag. Congratulations, its hereditary.

Thumbs up Back On Track

O.K. Tom ;

I'm actually interested as I'd like to get my Sweet to experience camping again, she enjoyed it back when I could still sleep in a tent, now I'd maybe like to rent a "Scamp" trailer of really small Motor home so please keep us posted .

Husky man, do you ever stop wanting to make a public fool of yourself by not lying and making up things ? .
