CD manuals on ebay
 

I just bid on 126 CD manual on ebay, there are at least ten people selling these manuals has anyone bought and used one of these copies ,maybe I should have asked this question before I bid Oh well.......

I bought a copy of the Mercedes Parts catalogue used at the dealer for $35, but I dont have a computer to run it, you need something with two cd driver. We have a computer like that, but its not fast enough, nor does it run windows NT. Oh well.

The mercedes manuals are just copies and they should run. I have the w123, w124 manuals from MB, they are pretty good, but sometimes they suck. They have no info on trannys. I need to get a W201 manual. I am also looking for printed manuals for w124, and 201, and I need to find manuals for the 2.3-16.

as long as you have adobe acrobat reader 3 it should work fine. I think it has a problem with acrobat 5 and 6. I just circumvented the startup on mine by copying them to the hard disc and putting my own index pointers to the main program section of the discs.

you wanna share your index? the CD is a royal PITA to navigate, specially if you haven't looked at it in a long time.

anybody gotten the w124 shop manual from performance products? i think it costs $30 or so.

It should be there.

You may have to edit the links in it for your proper locations.

All my file does is circumvent the mb software checks. it goes right to the selection menu for the year that is in the cd manual, so you can choose year and model from there.

But basically all it does is bypass the first couple of pages it has, witht he animation of a w124, the checks for shockwave and acrobat.
