Map, list, a few details of mass shootings in the US 2022

I was hesitant about posting this. Primarily because I feel much better about being able to possibly reduce a threat if necessary. One of my 1st memories of life was riding with my dad's mother in the seat of a horse drawn wagon while she hunted for roadside rabbits. Later at about seven years old I was shooting squirrels and rabbits for food.

Additionally I've had one relative, a nephew, that was shot in the back by one of three illegal hispanic teenagers. An attractive hispanic female had ' lured ' him to her apartment parking lot where she had two friends waiting to rob him.

After about 10 years of being paralyzed he died of infection as a result of that incident.

The statistics about mass shootings are horrific, but I believe guns are about the only effective deterrent if something happens where you wish you had one. It takes too long for the police to show up, but just a few seconds for the bad guy to kill you.

We spend almost every night now at a friend's lakeside property. I do the caretaking and provide security. Everyday we have trespassers since it is lakefront and a pleasant place to walk or ride an ATV. Our big worry is a ' druggie ' crash house next to the entry gate. One of the guys has seven pitbulls. Sheriff will do nothing unless a crime is commited. If called, it takes about 5 to 20 minutes for them to respond with a return phone call or visit.

Fear Vs. Reality

having firearms is okay as long as you're properly trained and practice regularly, this tends to take the thrill out of it and costs money so few Americans bother .

Teaching basic firearm safety in grade school would be an easy and cost effective way to reduce problems .

I happen to live in the Ghetto and don't feel the need to carry one, I did when young then I realized it was usually a primer for violence .

I don't know if TEXAS is an open carry state .

Those in charge of things have a vested interest in keeping you afraid .
