Two Mercedes E300s in the yard that were both made on the same day

Interesting story. I've got a friend that had a green 98 E300. It had a good engine/transmission and was a solid car. Got rear ended enough to total it. My friend then paid, I think he said, $400 for another 98 E300 that needed and engine and transmission, it is white. Moved engine from the green car to the white care to make it drivable again. The car also needed spring perch repair driver side which was taken care of. Car runs out good and will be a good car upon completion. Needs a little body work.

Anyway the thing that was interesting in comparing the vin numbers it seems they were both built on 2/10/1997 which I thought was interesting. The white one has obviously spent a little time up north.
