Advice and pictures of garages

Looking to re-do my garage, any advice on websites, companies, or pictures of your garage at your home that I can steal some ideas from.

Mick,

I really think it depends on the size of your garage and if you really want to invest some money in it.

For example, if your planning on living there for a long time then why not epoxy the floors in a nice grey epoxy. Have it professionally done like what you would find in commercial garages. (I've heard the DIY versions don't hold up that well) Also place ultra white flourescents througout the ceiling for adequate lighting.

I always tell me wife that once I have a big enough garage I'm going to put a tv up on the wall, decorate a section with Automobile memorobilia and put some couches in there. Then I could have friends over and talk shop and even work on the cars at the same time. Hell maybe I'll even throw a small fridge in there and lets not forget the radio!

As far as tools, you can set up some cabinets up high and out of the way for your larger tools and have a nice roll around tool chest for the sockets, screw drivers wrenches etc.......

Personally my wife thinks I'm crazy so you may not want to persue my ideas. We're starting to look for houses again and one of my prerequisites is at least a full size two car garage if not three!

www.griots.com has a lot of good car care products as well as stuff to enhance the appearance of your garage.

For flooring, I am going to have a company that does colored concrete flooring do the work. They can make your floor look like tile, wood, marble or whatever. They can make the finish as glossy or dull as you want and even add a compound to make it slip proof should the floor get wet (garage floors get wet? )

Plus it's really concrete, so it won't get damaged or hurt by chemicals! Takes three days from application to completed product.

I visited their showroom and I am impressed with what they have to offer. I have to save up for awhile to afford that $3200 estimate though...
