LED Halogen replacement "bulbs"
Has anyone replaced their H4 halogen bulbs for LED? They seem to have very good reviews and I'm growing tired of the annual bulb replacement. I just noticed I have another light out.

Not quite. Honda Odyssey. The lights are probably worth more than the vehicle but it keeps going. I saw someone pushing theirs back out of a parking space recently. I can see myself doing that soon.

For me, it is about the lumens. There is also a temperature/color range I find acceptable. Once you have the lumens then getting them for less amps/watts is better, and even more lumens for the same amps/watts is a good thing.

Installed them the other day. I should have watched the installation video first. You should have seen me trying to shove the light through the small hole in the dust boot. Once I found out the light disassembles from the base it was a piece of cake. have not driven at total dark just dusk so far but they seem as least as bright and the light has a crisper more focused look and if they last longer than a year it was worth it.
My wife who knows nothing about led headlights commented on how crisp the light was before I explained what they were. The color is very pleasing white not bluish like some. |
