My current house is one half mile off the highway. That's a lot of driveway to shovel snow from.

Yesterday my wife came home and found the road blocked with two feet of snow. In some places three feet. These are drifts that piled up where trees line the road.

She drove right through all of it with the trusty 2006 Toyota Land Cruiser. She did have to engage the four wheel drive, and she said it was challenging. but it made it.

For heavy snow or water up to a foot or so deep.... I can recommend a Land Cruiser.

A saying in Australia: If you want to go to the outback you should take a Range Rover. If you want to get back you should have driven a Land Cruiser.

Our driveway is not passable. There are still drifts two or there feet high but there is a channel dug between them for the road.

I drove a four wheel drive Honda Pilot through the snow when it was still a foot or so deep. It made it with a struggle and a lot of wheel spin.

The Land Cruiser at drifts that deep was like driving on a normal road.

But you were on a normal road, far as you say. Just that it has some snow on it
