I wonder if it's anti matter reaction? You take gold, even trans muted gold, made with gamma radiation ( most People do not know of this), any ways laser hitting gold produces anti matter. you hold it in a vacuum and slowly react with matter intense heat.

You can take ordinary elements expose to gamma and it strips electrons. Transmuting material into what you want.
