David Carrol flew on US a while back. He is a singer song wroter and while in O'Hare, he aw his guitars being thrown off the plane. The guitars were damaged and when he complained, they refused to pay....so he wrote a song. As of right now it has over 24m views after 15 yrs.

Interesting story. I hope all of those views have been lucrative for him. I certainly don't want to give the guy grief, but most musicians I know of would not put their guitar in checked baggage. Too many stories like this. Some will pay for an extra seat for the guitar.
