My Tesla, when in self driving mode, loses it's mind when I pull up to the gate of our community.
It looks for road signs, such as the speed limit, and then goes that speed. If it sees a stop sign it stops and checks the traffic. And when it turns into our road it sees a sign that says 'private property/ that is placed like a road sign and it promptly starts starting and stopping and shaking like it does not know which way to go or what to do. Then it just shuts down and waits for me to take over. So maybe the robot was programmed to do as it did? |

The losing its mind part is happening to humanity at large with this thinking that cars that drive themselves is going to be a good thing.

It is the coming thing in the big truck business. Drivers are not as tired at the end of the day and make far fewer mistakes because of it.
But then these drivers are professional people and understand they are ultimately in control. |
