UPS Crash in louisville and '79 O'Hare crash hauntingly similar

both the McDonnell Douglas MD11 and DC10 are similar designs.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/other/ups-jet-crash-in-louisville-and-79-o-hare-crash-are-hauntingly-similar/ar-AA1PTGjw?ocid=BingNewsSerp

and then there is THIS:

https://www.faa.gov/lessons_learned/transport_airplane/accidents/N110AA

There was an american airlines mechanic who was scheduled to testify in court in Tulsa involving the court case against American Airlines. Strangely enough, the day he was to appear in court, he was found in his home and had died by "suicide".

right.

Stevie Nicks won't need to sing about this. USPS is reformatting themselves for package delivery to turn around their financial demise. Kneecapping the competition is just biz, not personal.

Notice in the FAA report link I posted in the OP, AA was not following manufacture protocols for removing and replacing the jet engines. AA wanted to save "time" so they copied a competitor's methods and ended up causing one of the worst crashes in U.S. history. way to go AA.

The ONLY thing similar was the DB aircraft. A real LOSER!

NFW I'd get on another tri-star DB aircraft.

It was a maintenance issue, not a design issue. The UA DC10 crash in Sioux City was a design issue exacerbated by a maint issue. The fan blade in the tail engine failed and disintegrated. When it broke up, it compromised the hydraulic system redundancies which were located in the tail of the aircraft near the engine that failed.

Did y'all see the latest pics out today of the piece that actually broke? They said it was fatigue failure.

It was just a matter of time until the next tri-star jumbo jet had an engine associated structural disaster. I wasn't going to be a Russian Roulette part of another one.

That engine wanted to fly solo, and took out the tail unit. Now we know.
