My stereo

Where are my stereo people these days? I remember RickG from Utah had these eight foot folded horns he built himself. Here is a screenshot of a picture of my current setup. I’ve always had Magnepans. These are my fourth pair.

My hearing fidelity is long gone from years of metal shows. Pretty much every audiophile setup above the 2-3 grand mark sounds the same (excellent!) to my ears.

Saves me a lot of money I guess. My current setup is a Mac knockoff tube preamp and a set of nice wooden tower speakers from the 80s, I think sonys? Found them at a thrift store years ago and had to reglue the back...but since then they sound amazing, fills the room warmly, perfect for some jazz in front of the fire on cold days like today. I dont think i intended to hokd onto them for more than a year or two but its been about 15 and havent had a reason to upgrade.

I heard a pair of the top of the line Martin Logan speakers the other day. IMHO, they are amazing.....sounds like the band is in your living room!

Wife gave my Klipsch speakers to the yardman years ago. I came home from work and they were gone.

Arrgh.

Ick. You’re a real life example of the wife selling your gear for what you told her it was worth.

In the case of your Klipsch speakers… damn good lie you told her?

Anyone who knows me know I have been the biggest Klipsch fan to walk the planet....until recently. It is my opinion that to really get an understanding of which speaker systems you like best, it is best to sit in a room where you can listen to each individually branded speaker system right next to the competitors. In other words, you need a switching system so you can switch between speakers while listening to a song.

Definitive speakers are up on the list but when I REALLY listened to the Martin Logans, all other speakers fell to the back of the bus. WOW and double WOW!!!
