W123 convertible - beautiful car

This was one of the cars at the CarsNCoffee G2G that went on in Atl this past weekend. Don't have a clue whose it is. Don't know what kind of engine was in it but I don't believe it was a diesel .

Jim,

I know this man. He's a really a great guy (long-time Peachtree MBCA member) and his vehicle is truly unique

I believe he has a 2.3L 4-cylinder (gas) with a manual 4-speed transmission.

I'm certainly glad he came.....I only mentioned it to him at the tech session the Saturday before.

Looks like a...

...Baehr Cabrio build on a 230 CE.

Although it looks kind of nice the quilty of the conversion sucks.

Kind regards
Eberhard

The Company Bähr...

...does these conversions here in Germany based on the Coupes. They even convert the Sedan, which rather looks strange and twists like crazy.

The company is in Hagen, Germany. I have an advertisement here on my desk, but my scanner doesn't work since I hooked up the new modem at the usb-port.

Anyway, I wouldn't do that to my car. When I'm looking for an open Merc there is always the R 107.

Kind regards
Eberhard
