Yesterday I drove down to Niagara on the Lake for the morning Concours of the Gullwing Groups annual meet. As it was only a 45 minute drive I would have been a fool to miss it (last year it was in Seattle - a bit far away). There were about 35 fantastic examples of late 50s 300SLs, about two-thirds gullwings and the rest roadsters. Let me tell you, if you have only seen these cars in pictures or at car shows, you have to see them driving. I got there a half hour early and got to watch as they all drove in, one by one. Those cars look even better moving than standing still. All in all it was a fantastic morning I'll never forget. I did get pictures developed already (1-hour developing rocks!) I got a kodak picture CD, but before I get overwhelmed for pictures by email, if anyone has some spare webspace, I can email you some of the better ones and you could post them for everyone to see.
