i think i've been swayed...............
I think you all have finally swayed my bias from BMW to Benz. Granted, i can't wait to get my dad's 528i, and i'd love to have them both in the shed, but there is somthing about the luxury and class of all mercedes-especially the newer ones, that just strike me better than the BMW's do. The seem to be more refined, and more "classy". Dont get me wrong, i will still put a good word in for BMW and argue their quality till i'm blue in the face, but faced with the choice between my dad's bimmer and a very nice/pristine 91 560sec with black ext and tan int, i'd have to go with the benz.......... what have i done to myself here........

the 560sec is probably a dream that wont ever happen, unless i sell the bimmer once i get it(not likely to do, i love that car and i wax the thing every chance i get). I have also noticed something about my taste in benzes though, the ones that really stand out above the equivelant BMW's are like the s-classes. Be it the slk, sl, sel, s, etc, they are the only mercedes that really stand out to me as "wow!", but no BMW i have seen yet has done that to me from the same perspective. Granted, i havn't seen a c-class or e-class up close or anything, but this is based off of my current knowledge. Right now, i still think i'd take a new 5 series over the older "new" e class(not the new body style). But other than that comparison, benz takes my vote
