BenzE is dead
He was run over Saturday morning. He slipped out of the house and was attempting to cross the road to where another little dog lives. He died in my arms. There is a hole in my heart where his joy used to be.

Oh no!
 Thats terrible!  I don't think Benz-E made it to one year in his lifetime did he? I'm a dog lover and I thought the puppy pics were so cute! Very sorry to hear about Benz-E going like that! I had hoped to one day see him at one of the gtgs... My most heartfelt sympathy goes out to you

I am VERY sorry to hear this. He was a beautiful companion. My heart goes out to the both of you. I know I would just die if one of my boys passed on like that.

We all knew BenzE here - he was a good pup. He looked like such a happy dog!
My German Shepard has broken his chain three times and disappeared twice. The first time he got into trouble and was arrested by animal control - he tangled his chain with the dog next door and they called for help. At least I had a notice taped to my door by the dog warden. The next time he was gone without a trace for over a week - I found him in jail again - someone dropped him off that time. Each time it was like losing a family member. They dearly loved him at the jail (shelter really) because he was a model inmate. They put him in with a lot of other dogs and it looked like the adventures of Gulliver with all these tiny dogs running around him. When he heard my voice, he stuck his long nose as far out as he could between the cell bars. So I'm looking down a long row of cells and I see this nose sticking out - it was him. Now he has a 40-ft chain with breaking strengh of 4500-lbs - no problems now for a long time! Ken300D
