check the date of manuf. on the hard drives. i think they have at least a 3 yr warranty. WD once replaced a 2 yr old hard drive for me and i got a free upgrade because they didn't make the smaller drive anymore...

The Western Digital drive has been in my hands for only a week. It'd better be covered by warranty. :)
The Maxtor has a sticker implying that it was built in March 2000, so if it has a 3 year warranty, it should still be covered...assuming this can be claimed as a warranty thing. If it can't, I think I'm gonna be sick... :( Again, any ideas on possibly checking the power supply to make sure it's working within specs? Thanks in advance! |
