A friend has an oil problem!
Ok this car aint a Benz but a engine is a engine. A freind of mine has a 1995 Chrysler Cirrus and has an oil problem that I cant figure out so maybe some people here can.
The engine is losing oil and it is not burning or leaking on the ground. If he fills it to the top and drives for 2 weeks (300km each week) the engine oil level will be usually be between half and 3 1/4. Well he has noticed this and the other day it showed nothing ...bone dry! He is keeping more track now of the oil but question is where is it going?? Is it an internal leak? The engine is the 2.5 L V6 Mitsubishi used in many Chrysler cars. Dont know if this page will help, http://www.allpar.com/mopar/25V6.html

I've got that same car, and a few years ago, the oil pressure sending unit started leaking oil. It's screwed into the oil filter base on the lower front side of the engine. Check that out. May only be loosing oil when the engine is running and there's oil pressure.

really? The car has 183 000km on it and its doing this already?? What should he do? I told him to just keep checking the oil and add whenever necessary. How much would this repair cost on this stupid car?
My 380 has 430 000km on her and has started burning last year around 400 000km and I am getting the valves done soon.
