I have stumbled this on my own and decided to "share the wealth" since we're in the season of giving. Some punks on ebay are even actually "selling" this info...

For those who are looking for cell phones or other electoronics... i got news for you. www.amazon.com has many items for sale at regular price.. however, most if not all are FREE after your rebate. For example... I was researching online for a particular model phone which typically costs $299.99... i found it for "free-after rebate" when you sign up for 1 year activation. I am sure amazon.com has other cool items at deals, so it might be worth looking at. I know some of these rebates expire 1/6/03.. however you have to have the item BOUGHT by that date.. not delivered.
