Airline Alternatives

Has anyone used services like priceline or travelocity.com. Airfares have gone up over the last year and rules about fares have tightened up so I'm thinking of giving either priceline or travelocity a chance.
If you've used any of these services, were you not satisfied, satisfied somewhat or completely satisfied?
Are there any tips and pointers or warnings you can give me or that I should know?

not exactly what you're looking for but

qixo.com is a decent search engine for airlines/airfares.

If you don't feel like bidding for low airfare, use Expedia.com. I've always had good results with them.

And I thought the thread was asking for an alternative to airline travel. That would have to be the twin turbo S600...

OMG could you imagine a twin turbo S600. Yikes..

I have used flycheap.com in the past but have found the promotion section on usair.com to be a better value.

For 2003, the S600 is now twin turbocharged, and the HP is up from something like 350 to 470. The new V12 can now rip 0-60 in the VERY low 5's and I understand that an aspro 911 has met it's match with the 4400lb sedan.

The Maybach uses the same engine tuned for 550hp and propels the massive monster to 60 in 5.6 sec.
