Mercedes-Benz Opera Omnia -- anybody read it?

I'm thinking of buying (on-line) a three volume book called Mercedes-Benz Opera Omnia 1886 - 2001 by J Lewandowski. I think it is in Italian. It is rather expensive and I have not been able to find any very full reviews (or any reviews at all). Because it is an on-line purchase I have no opportunity to inspect. Has anybody got it? Has anybody seen it? Can anybody recommend this book?

I've attached a picture.

Thanks in advance.

TXBill: thanks for the languages tip, this is something I'll clear up before I buy. I thought it was in Italian because the only references I've been able to find on the net have been at Italian bookshops! However, I'm likely to purchase from a British bookshop, so maybe they have the English version. The new price os GBP150, about $200. I too have been unable to find it for sale at the usual sources.

I've bought it; it should arrive next week. I'll let you all know whether it is any good as there have been a couple of posts about good Mercedes books in the past. FYI the book is in three languages in parallel (like the Konemann book Mercedes, English, German and Italian. The bookseller said it is excellent, over 1,000 colour and b&w plates and a plethora of technical and production information. Just the thing for an anally retentive sad git like me!

I think its "Brit talk" for a "sad dude" :p
This reminds me of the scene in Austin Power's Goldmember movie... for those who have seen it, you know what I am talking about.

JJ.. let me know whats written on the w126 chassis cars, if you can please

Sad git is the opposite of cool dude (although I think dude now has a pejorative meaning, like git). Sad gits spend too much time on the internet talking about cars! The chap at the booksellers said I would get the book next week some time; Snibble, I'll look up the W126 just as soon as I've done the W202.
