OUCH! Man, I hope he had insurance on that thing to cover an accident on the track. Can you imagine how pi$$ed off at yourself you would be?!?!...Wow. I feel bummed about it, and I don't even know the guy.

Ouch! That looks expensive.

Hatterasguy - just curious about your username. I go to Cape Hatteras annually to surf...

Oh man, that had to hurt...

I started scolling down the pics, wondering what the heck the fuss was about.

Then BLAMO! I saw them. Youch.

At Bondurant in Calgary we had a guy stuff a new 911 into the main wall, folding it up pretty bad.

He towed it off, and rolled out a late model 911 Turbo without batting an eye. Some folks don't think the same way about money as the "rest" of us.

Hope nobody got hurt, BUT

The "glass half full" types amongst us will see a golden opportunity for someone with a black Diablo needing passenger side sheet metal.:D

There's a site out there dedicated to smashed up big-money cars, forgot the URL (?)

http://www.wreckedexotics.com is the site I know of. Some crazy crashed cars in there. Even a few McLaren F1's

Zeus I like Cape Hatteras a lot. I engoy going off-shore fishing there. But my username refers to Hattares Yachts. One of my goals in life is to own a 54ft Hattares. The proper spelling was already taken on AOL.

That's gotta hurt..... BTW, correct me if I am wrong, but I thought insurance company doesn't honor your claim if accident happens on race track???

And I agree, some ppl just doesn't worry a bit about spending $$.....

You need to purchase additional coverage if you want track insurance and it is REAL expensive

DuckMuck 03-05-2003 09:35 PM

I hope whoever was driving the car is okay...it actually isn't too sad...the car died happy on the track bein' pushed like what it was built to do...it would have been sadder if it just sat in somebody's garage never seein' the road...

Yup. However, if you were that rich (driving a Lambo) you'd probably self-insure when going track bound.

When I tracked my Porsche or 16V, I self-insured it.
