I have an uncle and a cousin in the Marines who are already in Kuwait.

I have the utmost respect for the men and women who serve in our military. They are making the ultimate sacrifce for our freedoms.

They are all in my prayers.

No matter what anyone may think about our policies as a nation, no one should feel free to criticize those that faithfully serve our nation and follow the orders of their Commander in Chief. They are the true heroes that make their right to dissent possible.

Good luck to your son, I am sure he will return safely.

Thank you to you and your son who are willing to give so much for this great nation that we live in. We may not always agee with our national decisions and the USA has some things that are not always right but regardless it is still the best place on this planet to live and the reason is because of people like your son.

Someone once said, "All it takes for evil to win, is for a good man to do nothing." Thanks for your son and the many others like him who not willing to stand by and do nothing.

From an old ex-marine sgt. that has been there and done that.

Liberty is the secret of happiness and courage to be the secret of liberty. We take encouragement and inspiration from your son for fighting and safeguarding the principles of this great country. He along with all our fighting men and women will be in our prayers and may God bless them. I pray that if there is a war it will be a short one and may all of our men and women return home safe and sound.

This quote is possibly the most common political quote you will find anywhere. It is used to warn of the encroachments of government, and to warn that governments do not do enough. It appeals to both the political left and political right alike, and is equally useful for arguments of the right in the former, and for the left in the latter.

The person who made the quote is Edmund Burke, a well-known English philosopher, statesman, and orator.

The actual words of the quote have been misstated so many times, that I don't think people even know what Edmund Burke actually said. Here is the real quote:

"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."

Hey Paul,

Thanks for setting me straight on the quote and whoever said it surely fits our situation. My opinion. Hope to see you at the GTG this coming Sunday.
