Hello Moderator,

A QUOTE from your post sir:

Again this isn't obligatory, but out of respect for everyone
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Great idea in restriction of sigs and pic files.

It is my understanding from your actions that NUDE smutty pictures are aok in this forum.

You must realize that due to the overall content of this forum the nude and suggestive pictures may be accessible to young children. (Children in KG and First, second Grade regularly use the computer and internet, search engines these days).

I must say some of us are most disappointed in the fact that this forum is participating in the propagation of such photographs on this otherwise very good site.

Hope that you realize you are encouraging a corrosive process by letting this forum degenerate to the level of a sleazy tavern, strip bar type environment.

Perhaps a WARNING on the FIRST page of this domain:

THIS SITE CONTAINS MATURE ADULT CONTENT

I totally support the idea of making this forum a respectful place.

I personally haven't seen women on the beach wearing only paint, and I haven't been "peeking" untill I read Diesel-Lover's post. It is inappropriate for nudity to be on this board, and even some of the other pictures are questionable... as to the kitchen table family remark, I believe that a web site should be appropriate for all ages unless viewers are warned in advance.

Tank page 5, 6 I don't see clothes

Tank,

Not all the pics are nude GRANTED but some of em are. See Page 5,6 and others.

Don't know what was edited by the moderator but perhaps more should be. The whole thread is a farce.

Yes I will check out the canadian site.

Hated to ban my kids from this one, it was difficult to explain why without telling em! though I have told them that there was stuff on this site which was of questionable nature and not suited for children and juveniles. My second grader (an automobile information and toys fan) asked why would it be here, and I couldn't rationalize it.

Can't yall just share them pics else where like a pvt site or something? Some members could probably float a pay per view site with their collection alone (just guessing here). Do we really need them thar pics here on this site?

The moderator did mention RESPECT so I thought I'd mention it here again.

just because that kind of stuff (nudity and such) happens in public, that doesn't mean we have to advocate it. There's also the fact that it's a LAW that you have to give warning if there are going to be nude pictures on a website to prevent those underage from viewing them. People kill each other and do drugs too, does that mean we should post up pictures of that? Maybe you should start a "dismembered body thread" if you agree. I think you see my point.

I guess you missed the idea I was trying to make, no matter how obvious I tried to make it. I was trying to imply that those things are inappropriate for this site, so I gave other things that were just as inappropriate.

oh yeah... sorry fir hijacking the hell outta your thread, I just thought this had to be adressed

Nobody is forcing you to look!

Diesel-Lover

All of the pictures that you see here are no more woirse than what you would see if you took a stroll around your local mall or would see in the magazines of your local grocery store.

You are not being forced to read this material and if you are worried about young children seeing this material while surfing on you, SHAME ON YOU!!!!! I am a parent and as a RESPONSIBLE parent I monitor what my kids surf on the internet.

check the "what do the owners look like" thread... the guy who posted last was 17, a year shy of being able to see that kind of stuff

I have no clue what you're talking about, but I probably wouldn't support that either.

Crass

I have not seen any of those type of pictures in our mall. It was said earlier that such pictures could not be left on ones PC in a respectable businesses work computer. Many forum members agree to this observation. That shows that the pictures are offensive to some. They may be par for a sleazy bar or a strip joint environment but the question here is do we want to take this forum down to that level.

I do monitor the surfing activity of my children and yes we (family)did read a large portion of a political discourse here on the open forum. I have been trying to get my kids and myself to get better acquainted with our jalopy and how to maintain it. That is how I found this forum. NOW my kids are not allowed to visit this forum. The wife thinks only a bunch of imbeciles would suggest that many of the pictures are not crass.

If the forum insists on keeping the nude etc pictures there should be a warning posted on the first page of this web address, and in the description of contents of this site. This will allow filters to catch this site.

A congressional commission was appointed to look into similar issues back in 1998 COPA.

****
Q: What is COPA?

A: The Child Online Protection Act, known as COPA, was passed October 23, 1998 as part of an omnibus budget bill and was signed into law by President Clinton. The purpose of the Act is to prohibit online sites from knowingly making available to minors material that is "harmful to minors" (sexually explicit material meeting definitions set forth in the Act). Commercial providers of "harmful to minors" material may defend themselves against prosecution by restricting the access of minors to such material.

If this law were enforced, violators would be subject to fines of up to $50,000 per offense, prison terms of six months, or both. This law also created a temporary Commission to study various technological tools and methods for protecting minors from "material that is harmful to minors."

*****
I am just voicing an opinion and see that more members see it similarly.
Mr. Moderator it is RESPECT that we should engender as you stated in the first portion of this thread. to this forum and web site.

Are you going to complain about the fashion bilboards on the public streets? or magazine covers? Many bilboards and magazine covers, have racy pictures on them. And you know why? Because sex sells. Are you going to complain to victoria's secret, found in most shopping mall's for having pictures of beautiful women in lingerie in their store windows that children can and do see when they walk by that store?

I don't disagree that some things should not be viewed by children, but when 99% of the things I see are found in public all over the place easily, then to me that is an acceptable thing.

As far as the signatures go, which is what this thread is really about, I'll work on shrinking mine down.

If ya wanted it smaller mike ya could have just asked me. ehhehe

Those of you who are offended by flesh, should look at mmmmm... lets say the NEWS and see some live MURDERS or WAR, played back and back and back again and again and again.......
Would that be OK for your kids to watch, or perhaps expose them to secondhand smoke will make them feel better!?

Iv'e been looking at nude pics for 34+ years and I'm not blind yet....

PS. My sig is sooooo beautiful I'm not reducing it

I am shaking my head (the one on top of my shoulders) in disgust and disbelief.
That nudity (especially if its only topless) is still an issue in the 21st Century, is incredible.
The bigger deal you make out of it, the more power you give it. Leave it alone!

Yes, I grew up in Germany. Nudity (toplessness) is a common occurance in magazines, TV, the beach, and most likely where ever else it is practical. Nobody gives a crap about it.
(The only ones that do notice, are people from the American continents, and me when I go to visit)
I would be willing to bet that there are a lot fewer sexual predators and other closely related criminals in Europe, than there are in the States alone. (per capita) I would think it is because of the clinical, and certainly more mature approach that people have towards nudity and sexuality that they have over there.
Flower power people and Co. you have failed in your mission in the sixties and seventies to bring this part of the world out of its sexual repression. We still have a long way to go before the giggling, and the finger pointing stops. Heck, we are still pointing the finger at people of a different color! And you know... it's not that we don't have the potential to grow out of this sexual adolescence, we do! We are just going waaay slower than the rest of the world. We are #1 in so many things....why do we have to be #2 in this?

Ok, so you might argue that this outlook in Europe has produced a bunch of tree hugging peacemongers. Well.... maybe if everybody felt that way, we wouldn't be getting the same kind of screwing from the middle east, like we are now.

Thats it - I'm done - I doubt I will check back for any responses - I don't need to read any.

Thank you for your time
