It sounds so sweet with the sun sinking low
Moon so bright like to light up the night

Wink Mexico!

As ashamed as I am to admit, I recognized the lyrics to a James Taylor song.

Here's what I found on Lyrics.com about the song:

"Transcribed by Sergio Ramirez, originally from Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz;
Mexico. Coatzacoalcos means "the place where the serpent hides" in the
native tongue (Olmec, probably). The legend says that Quetzalcoatl, a white, bearded God was banished from the aztecs and he sailed away from
Coatzacoalcos in a raft, dressed up as a serpent. The legend says that
years later a white bearded God appeared with the Mayans, at the Yucatan
peninsula. Rumor has it that this person was just a stray sailor that had
impressed and found favor with the natives.

Anyways, Coatzacoalcos is in the coast of the Gulf of Mexico. If you look
at the curve described by the Gulf coast, Coatzacoalcos is in the lowest
point of the curve; or like Mr. Newton would have described it take the
derivative of the gulf coast, make that equal to zero, and solve for X..."

So, is this fab-ola place in Coatzacoalcos?

Gotta know so I can plan a trip for January 2004!

Kirk
