Is the modification that any car that is parked near your car turns black?

MikeTangas 04-13-2003 11:16 AM

Well, looks like your secret mod is still secret.

What size wheel tire combo are you using? It looks good. How much has the drive improved?

Ashman 04-13-2003 01:57 PM

check the eyebrows on the headlights. :)

And the wheels are 17" with 225/45/17. Ride is not harsh to me, and car handles much better. :)

I've never seen headlight eyebrows before.

What are they for? Do they have a specific function other than providing a different look?

I guess in a way the eyebrows kinda make the front of the hood / grill area look more like the '94-'95 hood.

Do they come color keyed, or are they just primered?

Where did you find them?

Thanks buddy.

Hey, when's the next GTG?

Ashman 04-13-2003 02:38 PM

The eyebrows serve no purpose except to change the look a bit.

I like how it kind of represents the 94-95 hood, but the color matched grill frame helps it alot. If the grillw as chrome it would look awkward.

I got them direct form kamei in germany. My friend there sent them to me.

They are black abs plastic, and come unpainted and unprimered. you have to paint them yourself or have them painted.

I painted mine with black paint, looks good. I still have yet to secure them down properly, but thats because I was testign the paint to see how it looked with everythign else, and am satisfied, so I will be securing them down after I give them a couple more coats of paint.

Ashman 04-13-2003 06:27 PM

we just had one yesterday....

Check events and gatherings forum often for more GTG's, and also check events and gatherings section on www.bnzsport.com for more gatherings listed there.

Ashman..

I have the highest respect for your work on the 300CE. It is always a thrill to see what mods you have come up with for your beautiful ride.

But this.. :(
Maybe things are different over there. But in Europe these eyebrows are usually accompanied by a gigantic rear wing, blue neonlights and coffee can exhausts..
It's considered RICE at it's worst!

I'm not saying they don't look good on your MB. They do!
But in my book, they also put you car in a category it doesn't deserve.

This is of course only my view of things, and not nescecerely anyone else's.
I just think your car should be WAY above this..

I'm not too big on them either...just my humble $0.02. Would they negatively affect the precise beam pattern of your Euros?

Your car otherwise looks fantastic though. ;)
