I might be coming back!

Hey guys, long time no see. My 525 Bimmer got trashed in a hail storm in Dallas. I found a '95 E320 for cheap that I might buy. Anything to look out for?

See if there are any records of head gasket and wiring harness replacement.

Definitely!

Some areas got it worse than others...many of my co-workers are from Flower Mound and have experienced roof damage to their homes as well.

Most body shops have a three-week waiting list before they will even take your car in to order replacement parts!

Fortunately, I was at home (and just pulling all of the cars in the garage) before the storm hit. The Bug stayed outdoors and suffered minor damage, but I attribute that to the 70's era body panel thickness...

Ditto. Original engine wiring harnesses are bad - replacements cost about $500.

Original head gaskets leak oil at the right rear corner (passenger side) of the head. The new gaskets have copper inserts and don't leak.

Other than those two, they are nearly perfect cars (IMHO).

is Baltimore too far?

There are a few in Baltimore for sale that are reasonably priced, under $10k. Check out The Baltimore Sun at sunspot.net

You want to part it out, sell the car, or does insurance get it? Considering a new engine for the 528e because I can't find anyone to buy it

How many miles?

Generally, the W124s are very reliable and sturdy.
