summer

Well, just took my last final for the semester. Freedom, horrible freedom *looks around* I'm scared. I am taking summer classes, but regardless, it feels nice

I remember those summer sessions oh too well. What a whirlwind of work!! No time to "ease" into the semester. Tests and papers due within the first week.

Kinda miss it....

Crap! I missed the whole scene. Wish I could do it(my youth) over and go to college. I'd LIKE to have to worry about finals. No, really!
Maybe someday.(sigh)

I love spring and summer sessions. Campus is quiet, and studying outside is terrific. In undergrad I took as many courses as I could in those times.

Of course, it means bigger student loans as summer pay is forgone.

I got my MBA in the traditional manner (no internet classes, no accelerated programs, etc.). I wanted to complete my studies early, so I loaded up with classes during the summer as well.

I too, liked the laid-back feeling, quiet campus, etc.

Wasn't doing much else with my time anyway, no girlfriend, living at home, so completing my education was a sensible way to fill up that unused time.

Funny how when you do complete college, that you can't seem to find that extra time in the evenings anymore?

I agree. I'm taking summer courses. However I'm taking a break from the Engineering/Math/Science scene. I'm just gonna take some liberal art classes to fulfill those extra requirements...

Yes I love the quiet campus. Especially going to BU (if you've been here you know what I mean), a quiet campus is weird :D

I remember after taking classes all summer, coming back felt weird.. there were people all over the place :p

I'll cut ya a deal. Next time my finals roll around, I'll be more than happy to let you take them. An examply of my final schedule. Last friday: Conflict Areas, followed by International Finance, followed by Globalization and the Environment. Yes, all three in a row, 2 hours each. Monday, 15 page single spaced paper due on The impact on an international scale of loss of biodiversity, loss of fisheries, POPs, desertification, and a slew of other environmental problems. Tues, one test in Empirical Political Research Methods. Wed, a 10 page single spaced study on how globalization can be linked to conflict. All fun and games. It's hellish, but I agree, something people should go through. It is deifnately a learning experience.

LOL:D
Yah, I'll trade ya for this POS project I've been working on for 5 months now, and still can't get the results we need. The boss dreamed this nightmare up, now I've gotta make it work:eek:  He had this pipe dream it would all come together in a couple weeks. HA!
But it's all in the perspective. I'm sure going what you guys are dealing with is no cake walk. But hopefully the pay-off will be worth it for you. I'm just feeling sorry for myself that I didn't go to college so I could be the engineer designing these things, instead of the sap trying to make them. And I'd be making somewhere around twice what I'm making now.
Yah Eric, I do want to go, if I can ever figure out a way to still keep a roof over my head at the same time.;)

Summer is for classes you hate. I'd take 6 weeks of biochem over 16 anyday. Campus parking is always easier in the summer.
