Any recommendations for BMW websites?
I have a friend who is looking for a newer M3 to buy. I've been telling him how great mercedesshop is and that he aught to find a similar BMW website to look for advice and input on his future purchase. I looked around breifly but mostly only found high-performance-mod websites and not a more mature enthusiast site. Does anyone know of a good one? Or other good resources for BMW's?
thanks!

That's a great forum. I go there every now and then for my BMW (re:E24) needs... I don't see too many "AMG SUCKS" "M3 kicks C32's rear" "Benz handles bad" or anything like that :p

I'd be really cautious about buying a not so old M3. The chances that the previously owner drove it extremely hard are high.

Holston,
Thanks for the lead, I'll check it out too. Don't know why people are always so eager to Benz-bash... Renlist is a great website for Porche and they almost never engage in that sort of thing. DieselHead, I agree, I've pointed it out as well but he's in love with the idea. That's why I'm hoping to find a mercedesshop equivalent. I wish I'd known about this site before I bought my 420. Not that I did badly but I certainly could've. Hopefully they can give him some leads and help him avoid the pitfalls. Thanks!

If I was buying an M3 E46 or any M3 for the matter I would get one that's BMW certified. Sure you have to pay $50 deductible for repairs, however that is still worth the price I think.
Good luck, |

I agree unless you can find a little old lasy selling her M3 chances are it will have been ragged on often.
Bimmer.org aka roadfly is the biggest but there is nothing like mercedes shop out there all the fourms are less professional and the members are often ricers I have noticed. Check out Dtmpower.net as well lots of M3 stuff on there |

Thanks guys, I'll pass on the links and advice. Hopefully he'll find what he's looking for. Maybe with a little good advice he'll at least have a fighting chance.
Thanks!
