Can I trouble you for a photo of how the coil wire crosses the upper radiator hose?

My coil wire rests on the thermostat cover. There's some gray ash where the coil wire contacts the thermostat cover so I think it's arcing. It's been this was as long as I can remember. The dealer can't figure out if there's a clip in that area that holds the coil wire away from the thermostat housing. I figure a picture might help.

I have a plug wire stand off thing from Pep Boys but it looks too 60s muscle car for my 300SE.
