Angry Door ding rant thread!

About a month ago, I picked up a ding on the ML...a substantial one, and the area was smeared as if the perpetrator discovered his/her error. Still havent' fixed that one because it resides along the rear hatch pillar just above the taillight!

A week later, park the 300E several spots away from the last car on the lot due to a hefty wind that day, and not wanting to get a stray ding from a door that was picked up by the wind. Came back to my car to see a van had parked next to me and was leaving. Then I discover...a large ding! Even chipped the paint and left a scuff that had to be polished out! Obviously, the passenger let the wind take the door and swung it out to my car. Why they had to park next to me is beyond me anyway! Two days later...$50 to repair ding.

Today...same parking lot. Windy day. Got a spot near the front. Come back to find a shopping cart parallel to my 300E and (you guessed it) another ding! Inspected the cart and could see that the cart handle lined up with the ding. The car was dusty but the point of impact was dust-free.

Getting sick of this. So now I have at least one ding on each MB that needs attention.

Oh yeah, didn't I tell you about the ding on the SL? Rear quarter just behind the passenger door. Tough one to fix I suppose, but that's another rant...
