Sorry, yall are all Wrong.... this is the international symbol for Rocket.... look at it closely...
This was first introduced on Aston Martin DB 5's... in the 1960's... when you touch it the passenger seat rockets out the top of the car... you can see it in action in Goldfinger....
It is particularly messy if you don't have a sunroof....

No, it's to take pictures with the camera with the telephoto lens that is hidden under the front bumper. :D

to me it looks like the "Hazard light" button. Not that you'd ever use it :)
