Einsturzende Neubaten...crazy German industrial music

Wow. Thats all I can say. This music is....wow. Its extremely shocking. Drills. Jackhammers. Industrial equipment. Grills being smashed. Metal being hit. Its shocking. It overtakes my mind...

Any of our German posters ever heard of this group?

No

Not even remotely close. Sound is crazy. White noise, infused with industrial jackhammers, forkifts, metal plates, smashing glass, even jet turbines. Some of the "music" sounds like people being killed by power tools, but it still has a beat. It has to be some of the freakiest stuff ever.

Einstürzende Neubauten? Shure, I think I have one or two of their records.

How do you end up with music like this?

Einstürzende Neubauten ist really good music. Ramstein was just a marketing thing. I know for shure, a guy with whom I graduaded produced them.

Kind regards
Eberhard

Hey, KylePavao:

...and you know what their name means?

New buildings falling down.

Loved them for years. Have them on vinyl.

How do I end up?

I am always looking around for different Artists...and stumbled upon their song.. "Open Fire" really crazy song with buzz saws, drills, metal hitting metal..really cool stuff. Hard to find around here though. Especially on Kazaa. It seems I like their more chaotic "Ultra Industrial" stuff as opposed to later stuff.

I been listening to a lot of Prodigy and a lot of EN in my car, and my average MPH has raised to 75-80...Hmm

The EN site talks to you:

Blixa Bargeld welcomes you...

Kind regards

How so do you mean? I really like Rammstein. Went to their concert in Seattle a few years ago. (I was probably the oldest dude there ) Fun to watch the audience try and sing along with the German lyrics! They don't have a clue what they're saying
Also like Funker Volkt (or however it's spelled)

Well, they did some market research, which kind of music they might have an audience for. Than they took musicians, some good public relations work and marketing and fulfilled the expectations of this audience.

Pretty similar to New kids on the block and alike.
Not really genuine.

Kind regards
Eberhard

Oh well. I really don't care, as long as I like the music. I know Styx back in the 70's got the same critisism. They were just a "commercial band". But heck, they played good music.

Yeah I really like Rammstein. I've got three of their CD's :p

I have an Austrian friend and he was (still is) into Rammstein a lot and so were his German friends...

I listened to the songs and I liked them!

Can't tell you about any web sites, but some stores will let you take a listen to a CD. Out here we have Silver Platters, and you can take any disc up to the counter and they'll open it for you and put it in a player. Then you go over to a listening area and put on headphones. Check around your area for a place like that.
