1. A letter of committment (duely signed) that you will keep the transaction
strictly confidential.

2. Your confirmation of your ability to handle this.

3. Your ID or driving licence number for identification to the security company.

4. Your telephone and fax numbers for communication.

5. Your full permanent address. As soon as I get the above information from you,
I will disclose to you the name and the country of the security company. I will
forward your name and particulars to the security company to enable them contact
you accordingly. I will also send to you a LETTER OF AUTHORITY to enable you
clear the fund on my behalf. Note that this is a very safe transaction as this
money is my share of my father's estate.

I must assure you that after a perfect conclusion you shall have 20% of the
total funds.

I am waiting for your response to enable us proceed.

leathermang, I got an email like this over a year ago. The email I got was from the wife and not the first son. At that time the amount in involved was $94 mil. As I recall, the wife said she was "laying low" in Morocco until things settled down and needed help investing her funds.

A few months ago a woman who was an office manager at a law firm who got caught after she had sent them over $3,000,000 of the firm's money!! Unbelieveable!

Here's a copy of a letter a friend of mine sent me, spoofing the 419 letter:
