GM finally admits to it!!

So I'm not the only one who's been believing that GM's products haven't had much in the way of quality over the last few years... Heck, if they're really turning over a new leaf, in a few years they may be worth looking at again...

HI Warden, GM hasn't had much since 1970. I am much older than you are but we have a lot in common the least of which is a dislike for vehicles from General Motors. I still believe they should have court-marshaled the general when he was a Major.
A good friend bought a new 1972 or 3 Monte Carlo. As I was following him home from the dealership I noticed the car tracking sideways. The car had poor paint also. In the mid 70s I worked at the GMC truck dealer here in St Louis where I learned what GM was all about. That was basically, build it good enough to get them out of warranty. I often heard the term "commercially acceptable" used to explain away bad body and paint work. I could go on and on. I suppose their corporate philosophy is to attract new customers by coming clean. It is rather like an alcoholic joining AA who has to go out and make amends to those people he hurt while he was drunk. I think a certain part of our population will fall for it. Not me. My grudge runs long and deep. I have been burnt every time I gave them another chance. I will give no more chances. Barry |
