I just got an email on my personal account from 'Dr. Ali Ahmed' from Nigeria, stating that he wants to know if he can invest $21,320,000 in my name. I've heard of this scam before but wonder how they got into my personal account. Do yall think I should call the law?? The sending account was "aliahmed@ecplaza.net.

Conmen take victims on 'magic' money ride

A 15-strong gang has been taking Marabastad residents for a ride, claiming they have "magical" powers and rubbing strange potions on them.

The gang, who operate in groups of five, have moved from the city centre and are now operating in Marabastad.

Police spokesperson Legina Mzimande explained the gang's modus operandi. "One member of the group would walk past you and smear you with a substance. The second member, who stands nearby, would approach you and warn you that the person who rubbed the mixture on you had put a curse on your money."
