After some recent experiences with MBZ of NA I think that to a great extent they could careless about customer satisfaction.

Consider the successful ownership of MBs he's had in the past, I'm surprised he would be fed up with the marque after one bad experience...
And I have a 99 ML...despite the complaints I've read in this forum (and elsewhere), it has not given me the kind of grief this guy has endured. This is the extent of the issues I've had, and most were well-documented with this model: Regluing sound absorption panels: warranty Replace leaky rear wiper washer: warranty Noisy fan blower: warranty Driver's side window switch intermittent. Shop replaced all switches on console: warranty Brake pads (front): normal service Harmonic balancer: out of warranty, but MB paid for the part under goodwill. $300 for labor. There is an outstanding recall for a defective power steering pump clamp that will be replaced this week. No charge of course. I will concede that when MB went to water-based paint compounds that the paint chips on the front hood are far too numerous. Otherwise, I haven't found my ML and more or less troublesome than any other vehicle I've owned.

Gentlemen, in 1995 I bought the first and only new car in my life. It was a 1996 GM Pontiac Grand AM. I traded it in 1999 with about 66K miles. The number of complaints - 1. Tires made this funny noise. Apparently, one tire flat spotted. Problem solved . THAT'S IT on a $16,000 car. I owned a total of 21 cars since 1981. Only one approached this amount of trouble - a 1988 Jeep grand wag.
NO COMMENT!!!!
