Trail sanitation when Camping, off-roading, biking etc.

I'ts that time of year when everyone heads down to their favorite spot to go camping. Some spots are getting a littttle too popular so you should consider packing out your own ahhhhhhh byproducts.

This thread started a few years ago with great info.

Were you trying to take back stuff that included the liquid chemical like in porta potties and RV's. Your right.... that would be a lot to haul.

The new powder kinda stuff does not add to the weight or bulk. It's much better

There were three competitive Mog chassis rockcrawlers. Now only two I think. The third is for sale I believe. Dan Johnson's in Indiana. There are numerous mog 404 axled competitive rockcrawler.

One of the two (Mitchell Matchik (sp?)) is seeing limited action this year after an injury (non competitive) last year that severely hurt limb and wallet. The other (Rockmog bright yellow) is competing strongly this year from what I last heard.

In Europe in the truck trials and in Paris Dakar they have strong showings and consistently are in the top runners. I believe Team Unimog were 2cnd and 5th this year.

For pics of hardcore Unimogs and for Rock rigs sporting Unimog axles see this search thread Displayed will be several pic. choices from Hardcore to more general & member rides. Also Tech.

You must be thinking of the ML430 driven by Jean-Pierre Strugo? Best Mercedes finish in 2002 at 16th overall and first in T1 class!! :p

Top Mog finished 8th of 4x4 production class trucks.

You are correct my bad. I was thinking of the Croatia Trophy event, but typed in Parris Dakar.

Here is more offical word from Team Unimog:
Quote:
Team Unimog finished 2nd and 8th in the Croatia Trophy 2003. Not bad for a couple of Tractors.

Too bad they couldn't catch the purple landcruiser known as the Lila Q. This team has now won for two straight years.

Oh well, there's always next year.

One of the Team Unimog Trucks

Here is more pics of the Croatia Event:

oh.... and ahhhhhh.... gee.... I don't see any porta potties out there. Spectators and crew musta carried portable toilets in there rigs then (back on topic?)
