tips on how to take care of a just painted vehicle
What is the proper care for the paint after is repainted. I know I cant wash right away but they said not to use soap in the first month and a half. They said to just wash with water and an cotton t-shirt.
Anyone have anymore tips?

I'm no expert here but I think you need SOME type of lube in the water or you are going to get scratches.
The last thing I'd do -- with any paint job -- is to wash with no soap at all.

We wash every car before it leaves the shop, using car wash soap with no extra care. Today's paints cure out pretty fast and a lot of special care is not usually needed in the hot weather. I would just wait a bit before you waxed it, but it really shouldn't need waxed for quite a while. Just use the usual care when washing to make sure you have no foreign materials in the wash mitt as that will scratch any paint job. I am assuming the car was painted with a base/clear, and the clear is a 2 part product.
