The Cheesecake Factory

I picked up my folks from the airport today and was greeted with a nice surprise. They spent several days in Baltimore and they said they haven't seen a city so nice in a long time. My dad said it reminded him of San Francisco twenty+ years ago. Anyways... they brought back two whole cheesecakes from The Cheesecake Factory. Although they are sort of on the expensive side of $80 per cake, and something like $6 per slice... I honestly have never had cheesecake so good in my life. I know there are some Baltimore members here and wondering if they tried it. I remember seeing a Cheesecake Factory when I was younger in Los Angeles back when I still lived around there.... but I unfortunately never went inside. I think I have seen one here in Columbus as well, and I think I will be stopping by the place a little more often now.:D Now... if I could only find their recepie(sp?) for those cakes.;)

The Meatloaf plate at CF would feed a family of four!

Honolulu is getting a CF in Waikiki later this year. When in Las Vegas, check out the Grand Lux Cafe at the Venetian Hotel (after you're done with Delmoncios, of course.) which is also run by CF.

You could feed three people on one of their entrees

We have only one in the NY City area and you have to wait almost an hour to sit. The Cheescakes are exquisite.

Costco has their cheesecakes in the frozen section for $9 a pie, and Barnes & Noble sells them for $4 a slice or $35 for the pie, just a thought.

CF has also provided cheesecake for Olive Garden and markets a modified recipie under the "Dream Factory" label.

TCF's cake is worth its weight in gold... far better than any grocery's $10 cakes I tried. Barnes and Noble sucks.. over priced mediocre sweets. I like going to a Panera breads bakery... I think its a nationwide bakery out of San Francisco. They have good bread and sweets. I get sick and tired eating the cottonball type breads you find with Roman Meal and white bread.

This cheesecake talk is making me head to the refridgerator for more!
:D

:D

The best bread i had is either Semifreddi's out of Emeryville, Il Fornaio of Corte Madera, and Panorama baking of San Francisco. Trader Joe's usually has two of those breads delivered on a daily basis, so do most higher end supermarkets other than Safeway or Albertsons.(I HATE albertson's for most things, it'll be a topic of another thread.) Although i bought a loaf of Albertson's new "artisan" breads, and it's reminiscent of Grace Baking's bread.
